About Us

Nick Maudlin is the managing partner at Maudlin Marine. He is the 3rd generation in the marine industry to work on Galveston Bay and Clear Lake. He grew up following in his family's footsteps, traveling the country and racing sailboats. Many summers were spent cruising the East and Gulf Coast with his family. His passion for the water and boats has led him to ensuring his clients enjoy their time on the water as much as he does.

Roy A. Newberry, Jr. is one of the most respected surveyors in the wide circle of the yachting industry today. "Total Involvement" might best describe Roy's marine activities: As a USCG licensed Captain, Roy has logged over 200,000 ocean miles on commercial and pleasure craft, both power and sail. Additionally, Roy has been involved in the design, construction and or refitting of custom ocean racing sailboats and commercial power vessels. Trained as an ORC vessel measurer and USYRU judge. Roy serves the regional sailboat racing community in every capacity.
